Its name and décor reflect the local motorcycling culture, with memorabilia and panoramic Hill Country views providing an authentic roadside experience.

Menu and Specialties

The menu centers on freshly grilled burgers made from 100 percent Angus beef—never frozen—and hand-cut sides like fries and onion rings cooked in trans-fat-free oil. Signature items include the Ninja Burger topped with egg and chiles, the Indian Chief Burger, and the Ultra Classic. Lighter fare and vegetarian options are also available, along with beer, wine, and soft drinks.

Shifting Gears 2 RV Life – We Found a BBQ-Themed RV Park in Texas… So He Fired Up the Smoker

As promised, Jay does his first smoke on his new smoker while we stay at Pitmaster RV Park in Texas Hill Country. What better place to break in a new pit than an RV park built around barbecue? This park is big-rig friendly, pet friendly, and a great home base for exploring the area — just minutes from the Frio River and Garner State Park. They even offer fun alternative stays like a tipi and an air-conditioned covered wagon for guests who aren’t traveling with an RV. And because this is real RV life, the day doesn’t end without a little surprise — we also run into an issue with our RV fridge during our stay, and spent days troubleshooting the thing. If you enjoy real, unscripted RV life moments, and just the kind of stuff that only life on the road can throw at you. Come along for the ride. 🚚💨”We don’t plan it, we just roll with it”

Shifting Gears 2 RV Life – Operation Christmas Surprise for the RV 🎁 (Don’t Tell Him!)

Pulling off a Christmas surprise is hard enough… doing it inside an RV is a whole different challenge. 🎄 Kate had a plan to surprise Jason before Christmas, but keeping it secret meant coordinating, hiding boxes, and pretending everything was totally normal, and then coming up with some excuses — all in a very small space.

This episode is part holiday magic, part real RV life, and part “how did he not notice?” Stick around for the reveal, it’s a good one. 🛒 THE SURPRISE SMOKER Reqtec Pellet Smoker: https://amzn.to/4asNUuk Check out more at: https://www.sg2rvlife.ca/gear We may earn a small commission (at no extra cost to you) if you buy through these Amazon links.

Shifting Gears 2 RV Life – We Might’ve Underestimated This Hike 😅 | Garner State Park

Visiting Garner State Park was high on our Texas must-do list — especially when there’s things like a Crystal Cave to see. Like a lot of things we do on the road, it looked manageable on paper… and turned out to be a whole lot harder in real life.

Join us as we take you along on a Crystal Cave hike in the Texas Hill Country that quickly became one of those “this was a bad idea” moments. Between the rocky terrain, unexpected elevation, heat, and Jason pushing through some real physical limits, this hike tested him more than expected — but it was still absolutely worth it. Exploring places like Garner State Park fits into our slower, more intentional travel style. Our adventures look a little different because we work around Jason’s health challenges, but that doesn’t stop us from getting outside, trying new things, and finding joy in the experience — even when it’s tough. If you enjoy real, RV life moments, and just the kind of stuff that only life on the road can throw at you. Come along for the ride. 🚚💨”We don’t plan it, we just roll with it”
